Kade's first halloween

On Saturday, we met some friends at the Greenway Trail in Wilkesboro for the annual trick-or-treat walk. We actually just waited in line with them and then left for another birthday/halloween party. The picture with all the people is maybe 1/4 of the line. There were TONS of people (mostly kids) with costumes of all sorts.

Kade was a cloud - a last minute make from me. The lady bug is his friend Gaia. Can't wait to do it again when he gets what's going on!

We headed for our second activity which included a pumpkin carving contest. Kade got his first taste of the stuff...We got home a little late and thus have a bit of a crank on our hands today. Otherwise, we're happy, healthy and glad it's still the weekend.

After a long day of work and playing, an evening walk and lots of lovin' from mama,

the boys (all three of them) sack out in the living room.

Ah, fall...

We went for a hike today at the Kerr Scott Dam, which is actually just up the road from our house. The weather was gorgeous and crisp. Kade seems to love the outdoors. No matter how tired he is, he doesn't complain. He just hums a bit and lays his head on whoever's shoulder is closest. In the picture with the down trees, almost the entire sandy area was under water this spring. It is dry, dry, dry here. Hope you are all enjoying the beautiful fall weather as well!
